We are Hannah and Jonathon Moser, young North Dakota natives on a mission to revive our food culture.
Our adventure with Forager Farm began in 2013 after returning home from 6 months spent managing a 100 box vegetable CSA in southeastern Australia. 2016 will be our 3rd CSA season.
Jonathon grew up near Streeter, ND and has been organically gardening for over 10 years. He has a professional background in accounting, but can’t stand to have clean hands and has naturally found himself back in the soil.
When I was young I wanted to be many things: an architect, magazine editor, zoologist, but a farmer was not one of them. The closest idea of a farmer I had was my grandpa. I knew he had cattle, and a barn, and a lot of farming equipment, but exactly what he did I was unsure.
I followed the typical path and after graduating in 2012 with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising, I quickly realized the office lifestyle, 9-5 job was not for me. What was I to do? I moved across the world with Jonathon to a tiny town in Victoria, Australia to live and work on an organic vegetable farm.
I returned home to North Dakota six months later brimming with dreams of sourdough bread, micro goat dairies, artisan cheese, and organic veggies. I am passionate about sustainable food and the adventures we have planned for our farm and can’t wait to see where our dreams take us.
