What’s not to love about dill? It is easily one of our favorite herbs from the garden. It is so versatile and can be used almost anywhere. So instead of picking and sending out a recipe we decided to share our top 3 favorite uses for dill.
- In salad. We love to toss it in with our fresh lettuce salads along with any other favorite salad ingredients. It gives such a fresh, aromatic twist on the everyday lettuce.
- In potatoes. One of my favorite meals from the garden growing up was potatoes boiled on the stove, drained then tossed with butter, cream and dill. Such a simple side dish, but delicious!
- Last but not least, in fish. We’re used to catching and eating a lot of walleye in the summer. You can’t go wrong with some light, flaky fish grilled with some butter, cream, salt, pepper, and dill. Amazing!
Really, there’s not much dill doesn’t complement. Use your imagination and enjoy!

We grilled salmon in a foil packet with a pat of butter, lemon slice and our Forager Farm dill. It was delish!
